Grappa

100% of the grape pomace used for our Grappa is sourced from local wineries, however the grapes are predominantly acquired from the west coast of the USA. We do not add sugar to the pomace — we simply add water to rehydrate before distilling, giving us a smooth, floral Grappa with a clean finish. Another way to think of this product is as pomace brandy. Pomace is everything left after winemaking: grape skins, meat, stems, and seeds.

Grappa is the result of Italian winemakers working to create little to no waste after wine making. The word Grappa comes from the word ‘grappolo’ which means grapes. It is said to aid in digestion after a heavy meal. Many people will consume a small pour in between courses to help stimulate their hunger. Another commonly enjoyed method for consuming Grappa is Caffe Coretto — Grappa, coffee, and a sugar cube.
